The document holder for reading sheet music is too short. It's as though it has been set up for an i-pad or an i-phone. I have printed sheet music and it just flops and folds when I place it in the document holder. I like that it has an auto-power-off feature. The sound is OK. The weighting of the keys feels good. It's a compact keyboard which is great when space is limited.

What can I say, I just wanted a playable 88note weighted piano for my living room and got way more. It looks stunning with the retro look in the living room and a show piece for guests. The keybed action is really nice to play and dare I say more enjoyable than my fatar keybed in my expensive 88 weighted midi controller in my studio, the midi implementation is also great as I can use it with my Logic setup on my laptop and compose with it. If you are looking for multiple pianos/electric pianos this is not for you as there is only one piano albeit a nice sounding one which is a joy to play. Absolutely great piano at an incredible price, very happy customer.

As other reviews mention, the colour of the natural one is more orange than appears in the photos, especially on the pedal box. The fully weighted keys have a nice action, which feels more responsive than other keyboards, including some that are a lot more expensive.

Love it! Love it! Love it. I bought this because my girl begged for years and years. I was looked heavy duty professional piano and it was too much and didn’t like it. I need something small and easy to install and move around and also could fit in the girl’s room. When I saw this Donner DDP-80; I knew this is it. Delivery was great and they were so nice to move it to second floor. Thanks them! I started open the box and was so excited. it was easy for me to install and moved. I checked all the keys and made the video how to turn it on and off. For off- you have to hold little longer to turn this off. Volume was easy to control and I did not want to have all other features that I do not use. The leg is not wood, its metal and I feel better because it could support more. Speaker locate underneath so sound not going around the room. Pedals work nice. I might need to clean the wire more but then. It’s perfect. Thank you!

I received the bench several days before the piano. The bench will stay up if you open it all the way, but be cautious not to keep it partly open or you may jam your finger like I did… don’t say I didn’t warn you.As for the color. As many have stated, they do not match. I provided a side by side photo to compare. The bench is similar, but has a red tint while the piano seems more of a yellow wood.I don’t mind because it could pass for the shadow since it’s lower than the piano. I still think they look great together.The pedal feels like a hard plastic and reminds me of a cognac leather color.The legs of the piano are metal but you can’t really tell unless you get up close and personal. So unless you’ll crawl under it, shouldn’t be a problem! :)I am new to piano (or any instrument) and I love the weight of the keys. If they were any softer it may be easy for me to goof it up.If you’re gifting this, note that my keyboard box arrived with the original Donner box name and image of a keyboard on the box, making it so that anyone seeing it will immediately know what’s inside.Update: I’ve been playing it every single day (often twice a day) for two weeks now. Still love it!

I read the reviews and watched YouTube reviews and despite all the positive feedback I was skeptical.Honestly the faux wood was a concern. I just knew it was going to look cheap… it doesn’t. It’s surprisingly nice.The sound, build and action are all more than I expected for the price. My only complaint is the power switch. It would be nice to have a true switch instead of a mushy button that doesn’t actually click to let you know you turned it on. Oh yeah and hex screws instead of Philips head would be really nice for assembly.

I had been looking at this piano for some time, just based off of how nice it looked. I have always wanted to learn piano but never had the luxury of being able to take lessons. When I was younger I ended up getting a very small keyboard to practice on, and I would also practice scales on the real pianos at school. It feels so much better to play on a real piano than a keyboard that has no resistance or weight to it.I pulled the trigger on this as a holiday gift for myself, so I can fulfill my dream of learning to play now as an adult. I’ve been using Pianote which is a great resource, and the piano’s MIDI capability works great with my laptop.This piano feels as close as you can get to a real piano. I was thrilled when I first tried it and felt how accurate the weighted keys are. They feel heavier in the lower register and lighter in the higher register. The sound sounds amazing to me, and I don’t feel the need to use headphones or an amp, though I am a beginner and don’t have a lot of experience with different pianos.The sound and feel of it are both so great I don’t even think about it not having the features most keyboards have. I wanted to just play piano, and for that this is perfect. I’ve had this now for about a month and it has brought me so much joy and happiness. Practicing on it is the best part of my day. I don’t normally write reviews, but felt compelled to for this piano. I don’t feel that I will need to upgrade to a real piano for a very long time, which is good because I don’t have the space for one!So if you’re someone who is interested in fulfilling your or someone else’s dream of playing the piano, this is a great piano to start with.

Customer service 5 stars Sound - yes you can find better sounding electric pianos. But they’re not that much better and also cost considerably more. Features - there aren’t any. No sequencer, no multiple piano sounds, no reverb, no pointless alternative sounds that you will fiddle around with once - “oh hey it has a lovely vibraphone” - and never use them again. It is just a decent sounding piano. I see that as a definite plus. Controls - They’re all at the back and this can be a bit awkward. Given it only has one sound this is not a huge problem. It also means it retains a very pleasing minimalist look. Looks - Minimalist in a kind of Scandinavian style. I love it and it goes perfectly with our cuckoo clock. Most electric pianos are really ugly. My only criticism would be the slightly nasty pedal casing. Keyboard action - I’m not a pianist as such (I’m a guitarist who has a few party pieces on piano) but the keyboard feels pretty good to me. Overall - if you like simple design, just want a decent piano that looks pretty awesome and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg , then this is a good choice.

The orange pedal box definitely had to go, it owned the room, masked and sprayed satin black. The body of the piano and the bench could definitely be closer in color palette. But… I am overall thrilled with this piano. The sound, key weight and look (with my help) is just amazing. This is a beautiful keyboard piano - heavy weight keys, foot pedals, super easy to assemble(keyboard body is pretty heavy), sounds great, able to hook up to headphones for quite play, & all 50 keys for range. Love everything about it so far.

I received the bench several days before the piano. The bench will stay up if you open it all the way, but be cautious not to keep it partly open or you may jam your finger like I did… don’t say I didn’t warn you. As for the color. As many have stated, they do not match. I provided a side by side photo to compare. The bench is similar, but has a red tint while the piano seems more of a yellow wood. I don’t mind because it could pass for the shadow since it’s lower than the piano. I still think they look great together. The pedal feels like a hard plastic and reminds me of a cognac leather color. The legs of the piano are metal but you can’t really tell unless you get up close and personal. So unless you’ll crawl under it, shouldn’t be a problem! :) I am new to piano (or any instrument) and I love the weight of the keys. If they were any softer it may be easy for me to goof it up. If you’re gifting this, note that my keyboard box arrived with the original Donner box name and image of a keyboard on the box, making it so that anyone seeing it will immediately know what’s inside. Update: I’ve been playing it every single day (often twice a day) for two weeks now. Still love it!!

We discovered the Donner brand and this model while searching for a keyboard that would match our pseudo mid-century modern decor, yet be of good quality. The reviews were good, so we took a leap of faith and ordered it. The online ordering process was straight forward and the delivery was on time, earlier than expected actually. The item was well packed and was easy to assemble. Then came the real test, playing it to hear sound quality and feel. It exceeded expectations. The weighted keys felt good to play and the speakers, hidden on the underside emitted a good quality piano sound. We have yet to play with the other features, such as hooking up to a computer, but plan to in the weeks ahead....as well as replace the ugly folding chair with something more appropriate. :-)

I’ve been loving mine! I do have an upright piano from childhood, but am currently living in an old mill style building with tall ceilings and little insulation. I figured my neighbors would appreciate the fact I can plug in my headphones to practice. This also comes in handy if you have an open floor plan and someone else wants to watch the television at the same time. It’s convenient for me, sounds great, and looks adorable! I didn’t love the bench option, so purchased a fun, bohemian style bench instead. I’m a very satisfied customer!

I really love my Donner DDP-80 digital piano. It’s the perfect addition to my *aesthetic* little condo. Not only does it aesthetically look GORGEOUS, it also plays AMAZING. The fully weighted keys were important to me, as I grew up playing the piano. I knew I wanted weighted keys, but also compact, and didn’t want to forfeit on either aspect. Luckily, this piano is the best of both worlds! I definitely would recommend this to anyone ranging from beginner to tenured player. This is a lovely "piano" with great sound and an authentic piano keyboard feel. The only difficulty I encountered was finding headphones - you will need to find one with a large (6.5mm) plug on both ends, or use an adaptor (like I did). But overall, I am very pleased with this purchase!

The piano is great for a compact, affordable piano that sounds and feels like an acoustic. I was surprised to find that the piano is made of particle board and a wooden veneer with metal legs with a faux-wood finish when I first put it together, but the sound and feel is great. The color of the faux wood is a little more orange than it shows in the picture online, but overall for the price this is good. I am just getting back to playing piano after years off and live in an apartment in NYC, so committing to a true acoustic piano was too much at this time. I find this electric piano to be perfect for my purposes.

The playability and the key feel are very natural, as well as the wood finish. The sound is very bassy and not as sharp as it could be, but very substantial. The pedals are encased in plastic, not laminate and the wires detract from the overall style. Not a bad piano for the price.
