Awesome! This does everything I wanted it to and much much more, some of the tones are a bit funky for my liking but as an octaver it's brilliant. IT TRACKS VERY VERY WELL!!! That surprised me as it's a cheapy.

I use this pedal specifically for altering the key without having to tune or switch guitars. Dry signal is off and wet at 100%. No tone is lost when switching to any of the semitones, and octave is great!

I’ve seen some octavers have trouble with more than one note, so far I think this one can handle power chords, up to 3 maybe 4 notes, which is great and all you really need.

I love this little octaver/pitch shifter. It's got really good note tracking and works well with chords too. I use it at the very beginning of my signal chain. I am still exploring, but so far it's been super versatile. The ways I have been using it so far, most of them when I use with a looper

I’ve had a few octave pedals and this holds up against some of the better brands. To be fair there is a slight delay in tracking but I like that. To me it’s more authentic. The pedal is very versatile and gets into those steel drum, organ type sounds with the blend controls being very useful. Can imagine using this with the effect on minimal to add some colour to some songs or with the wet signal more prominent on songs that use it. The define mode is very useful and creates a chorus effect which I will use often. I really like this pedal. Hope iMovie doesn’t clip the top and bottom of the picture off like it is in my preview.

I’ve tried a few Donner pedals and honestly believe they’re excellent value for money. This Digital Octave shifter is simply excellent for the money, it’s not complicated to use and provides a wide range of results. At £35 you'll find this pedal hard to beat!
A simple toggle switch allows the user to change between the sharp, detuned and flat settings. The central dial switches between the 7 available modes: plus or minus 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 semitones and 1 or 2 octaves. The Wet and Dry knobs allow you to adjust the amount of effect required. There is no mystery here, play with the pedal for half an hour and you’re sure to have found a range of sounds to suit your style.
I’ve been combining the Pitch Shifter with Donner’s Blues Drive and am achieving some amazing results, especially when using the Detune and Flat settings. You want to sound like some of 60s and 70s guitar gods? Invest in this robust little beauty and you’ll be halfway there!
Just one thing to bear in mind, if you want to mount this or any of the Donner mini pedals on a pedal board using Velcro, remember to remove the rubber pad from the underside of the pedal - you won't get Velcro to stick the rubber foot.

A new offering from Donner has a few tricks up its sleeve that makes it worth it's affordable price. This pedal is housed in Donner's standard strong aluminum-alloy casing. All connections, including power, were tight and sturdy. The pedal runs on a 9v adapter, which is not included.
The true bypass Digital Octave Harmonic Square pedal mode knob allows you to select plus or minus 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 semitones and 1 or 2 octaves. The selector toggle switch allows you to select your pitch direction either sharp or flat and has a detune option. There are 2 knobs for dialing in how much of the wet verses dry signal that you want. This could have been accomplished with 1 knob, however, it is nice to have the option to dial in each individually.
The pedal tracks very well and sounds great! I've also had the Holy Octave for a short period, and the Digital Octave Harmonic Square handles the 1 and 2 octave intervals by far better. Another nice addition is the detune setting. It basically turns this pitch shifter into a nice lush sounding chorus. To my ears, I hear a very subtle difference for each semitone selection when in detune. Since the pitch selections are in semitones (half steps) and the pedal does not know what key you are playing, I want to point out that it is not a harmonizer. When using a pitch selection of either sharp or flat and a semitone selection other than one of the octave selections, my preference was to apply a minimal amount of wet to add some coloring.
This pedal for me, however, is a keeper as an octave pedal and a detune pedal. I'll be making space on my pedal board!

This is the second pedal I have bought from Donner. The first was their looper which is very nice. This pedal is called a pitch shifter but it's much more than that. This will add 2nds, 4ths, 5ths, 7ths or one octave or two octaves either sharp or flat to your original signal. It has a level control for wet and another for dry signal. It is made out of metal and is built like a tank. The are very few if any artifacts added by the pedal and it is true bypass when switched off and is silent when using it (no background noise). I love this pedal and mainly use it for adding 5ths to lead lines. It is generally for single notes and not for chords. It is also a handy way to turn your 6 string electric into a bass just by setting the switch to flat and the knob to one octave. I am very impressed by these Donner pedals and really like the mini form factor. I would recommend this pedal to anyone looking for this type of effect. The price is right, they provide fast shipping and these pedals are basically indestructible. Get one.

Fantastic little device! Octave(s) up or down and choice of harmonic tones as well - absolutely tops. Standard 6 string guitar, baritone 6, 4 string bass, vocals/microphones, keyboard, violin and more - this pedal works with everything I've plugged into it. No 9v battery option but if you are semi-decent with wiring (know positive from negative) you could easily mod #diy to use with 9v battery.

I never thought I would ever need or use an octave pedal, but I decided to get this one to help create some unique sounds for a pyschedelic jam my band plays live. I get it if you're using an octave pedal to mimic a 12 string or put some extra bass on a treble sounding guitar, but I think 90% of most octave pedal sounds are un-usable. Which brings me to why I bought this pedal. I use it so rarely, that I cannot justify paying over $120 for the main brand name pedals. I was able to get the exact, weird octave sound I was looking for while spending only $45. The other nice thing is that its so small and doesn't use up a lot of real estate on my pedal board. Its built really solid and all aluminum and keeps my board light. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this pedal. It will meet your needs of an octave pedal without breaking the bank.
