Donner HUSH™ X Electric Guitar

This is an amazingly great piece of kit for the price. The package arrived promptly and in good condition, and the guitar was simple to assemble, with all the tools for assembly, stringing and adjusting included. I was surprised by the high level of thought and craftsmanship that has gone into the unit. Out of the box it sounds great, and a little adjustment and it sounded magnificent.

One month in and I'm pretty happy great packaging. Frets all perfect. Has responded well to normal neck and string set up Serling in. Neck profile is different. Making thumb over an adjustment. The bottom rest attachment is now loose and plastic surround came unstuck. Using a 2 point fitting like the top would fix that. Strap fix points are not so practical. But loop the front strap through the top rest and it's lots better Great build generally. Top sounds esp in the hands of three experienced guitarists. On board headphone amp a little quiet but flexible. Getting lots of fans. Worried if the bottom rest fitting continues to wobble

Excellent packaging, and an amazing product. Grabbed this on sale and it's absolutely worth it. The guitar was set up quite well, the fret work is very well done, and it stays in tune very well. The neck feels nice, and the pickups are also really good. Ergonomically, it's probably the best guitar I own - sits on my lap incredibly well, even without a strap. I'll probably upgrade to the Hush X Pro eventually, but this is an EXCELLENT guitar for the price. Would highly recommend it!

Man, this guitar actually far exceeded my expectations. Plays beautifully and feels quality, nice frets and pick ups. I bought the guitar mainly for flight travel but it turns out that the pick-ups and everything sound really good. Excellent quality for money, honestly feels like an upwards of $1000 guitar.

Great service and quick delivery from Donner. Excellent guitar for travel and portability. Took it with me on my holidays for some practice sessions while on a break. Everything is included, right down to straps, batteries, cables and earpieces. Its ready to play straight out of the box. Great sounding guitar at home or on stage. I am told by my fellow enthusiasts that to take it up a notch, some additional FX pedals will do miracles for the existing output which, as it is, is not bad at all. Overall: I extremely love the Hush-X and would highly recommend it. Point to note: I am not a pro musician but just a small home-group praise and worship player.

This is my third travel guitar and without a shadow of a doubt it is the best and most fun to play. I travel regularly, spending at least 3 nights per week in hotels and I can’t get enough of the downtime playing and practicing. Have recommended this to a few of my colleagues that play guitar. Winner!!!!

Honestly I am so impressed with this guitar!! I have been wanting a humbucker equipped travel guitar for a while, to take when I go away for work. Read some good reviews about these, and then with the sales on them around Christmas it was just too good to pass up. I was pretty amazed at the quality of it, and also with all the included bits! Literally comes with everything you need to play on the road. I have paired it up with a Spark Go amp so I can have an array of tones to muck about with. For such a compact package, it's impressive how comfortable it is to play. I am 6'4 and have reasonably large hands, and it's just as comfy to play as my regular guitars. Awesome guitar, comfy to play, great fit and finish and sounds excellent! Highly recommended!

Guitar came well packaged. Had to do a set up as the action was rather high. I am having issues with keeping it in tune and maintain stable intonation. The location of the strap button behind the heel needs a rethink. As it is, when a strap is use, the guitar body keeps tilting forward rather than lay flat against the player's body. I trust this will help with your quest to continue improving your products. Thank you.

I've had the guitar for a bit over two weeks now and I really love it it's great to play being so Compact and I'm extremely pleasantly surprised by the sounds of both pickups the playability and the versatility I would thoroughly recommend it both as a travel guitar and also just as an easy electric to play around the house and it wouldn't be too shabby at all to play some less formal gigs with

I'm 73 and just taken up playing guitar. I first tried a full sized acoustic , then a 3/4 acoustic and then a full sized electric before I bought the HUSH-X. The HUSH-X is the only one I found comfortable to play. I am now practising every day and enjoying playing. Highly recommend !!!

Hello, I am only an amateur guitarist, however I have played with a few different types over the years. This is a good guitar, it is comfortable and it is what I needed, because it’s quiet and I don’t disturb my flatmates. The ability to use headphones is a massive advantage. However there is one issue, the above metal frame unfortunately wriggles around, particularly at the top connecting point closer to the fretboard. I have attached it correctly as I was following the manual and the YouTube guide at DonnerMusic. It’s not a big deal, but it is unfortunate.

Great little unit which I'm keen to take on the road with me. Ive tried it with my big amp at home but bought a doner cyclops to travel with. That will be the true test of how effective and easy this guitar is for travel.

Great guitar as a FIFO worker. However!!!! No allen key for locking nut was included and high e string nut wasn't done up properly resulting in the string slipping out of the nut entirely on my first play... Also as an avid death metal player I'd love to see/acquire a 7 string version to avoid having to use a transposer for lower tunings... aside from those two things I can't really fault the guitar in any way. It's been great, feels comfortable enough while sitting and standing and is great to practice on while away from my main guitars for 3 weeks at a time plus is easy to move between work sites as it can be brought in carry on luggage.

Happy with the guitar. I looks great and is playable with a good neck and reasonable action. I am not so impressed with the pickups and will have to do a lot of tweaking to get a reasonable sound out of the guitar. This is not so much as issue as it is a practice instrument and not intended for gigging. It will be perfectly ok for the intended use. Was hoping that I could use it for some small gigs but without some tweaking I don't think this will be possible.

Above my expectations. Very impressed with the quality, and design of this guitar. Played beautifully out of the box, with a tune up. Well finished. Nice neck profile, and smooth frets. Really well thought out design that's going to be ideal for traveling. Decent sounding pickups when played through an amp, or headphones. I think the only negative is that there are no onboard sound effects for headphone use. A bit of reverb/gain would be a great addition.

seems nicely made is very compact with full scale neck, some care will be needed maintaining inotation over string changes and tuning the strings come strait out of the tuners so the length is variable.

I wasn't sure what to expect with the Hush-X. I usually want to sit and play my guitar buys, feel the action, quality etc. before I commit to a purchase. Well, l can honestly say I'm very happy. This instrument is a technical marvel. The build quality is great, quality pickups, the action was spot-on off the bat and stays in tune - that's the sign of a good guitar! The shipping was smooth and the travel case is a quality build. Having 12 guitars, it's surley becoming one of my favourites. This little guy has become a very close friend. Love it!

Given as a Birthday GIft to my Wife. She opened the box a couple of hours ago, and cannot put the guitar down. Really loves the instrument. Hopefully it will be a Positive History!

I love the guitar and the concept was exactly what I was looking for. My only complaint is that the action is quite high, even after straightening the neck and lowering the action until the set screws started to come out. It took two weeks to get a response from customer service and it is as if they didn't even read my concern. Per the response, though, it would seem that the action on my guitar is higher than the spec as I don't get to the factory setting even after lowering the action. I am a beginner guitar player, but I haven't come across why anyone would want the action as high as it is on my guitar at its lowest possible setting.

This is my first electric guitar, and it's awesome! The packaging is really secure, and the attention to detail is excellent. The sunset-color is indeed stunning!

I already have a sunset-colored HUSH-I, and when I saw that Donner released the HUSH-X, I didn't hesitate to buy it. All my entry-level instruments are from Donner, and I really love their products. The quality and appearance are both excellent!

I've been playing guitar for many years and always have traveled with a portable guitar to remain current with the weekly lessons that I produce as a professor of music for a local college. The Donner HUSH-X guitar is ergonomically shaped to fit quite well for my playing style as it is suspended from my shoulders at a distance similar to the full-scale instruments that I play in Jazz Bands and Orchestras. Surprisingly, the instrument offers a good sound and possesses a sufficient weight to deliver a pretty nice tone. I take the Donner HUSH-X guitar to my rehearsals which produces a solid and projecting sound amongst the other instruments. The sound truly outweighs it's looks as a guitar which appears to be on a crash diet.

Well.No doubt the price is decent. But the quality of the guitar is not as good as shown. Who is beginning to learn the guitar? Think about purchasing the right-side guitar.

I purchased the HUSH-X because I wanted an electric travel guitar for a trip to China, I wasn't sure how it would play for this price point but I am extremely happy with how well it plays, setup was good put of the box and all of the included extras including straps, battery, tuner and tools are a welcome surprise. The carry bag is good also and has enough space for me to pack my Boss Waza headphones and chargers etc. This is a very good guitar for the money and will make travelling very plesent. I fully recommend the HUSH-X if you need a travel guitar or even a light practise guitar. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I love this guitar. The sound quality is amazing and I am looking forward to taking it on an International trip in January. It's great to play while at home and to practice late at night without disturbing others. Everything you need comes with the package. A beautiful are and battery and comfortable earbud headphones. Perfect for travel. At home I use it with a small practice amp or a et of studio quality headphones which really show off the tone of the guitar. It is beautiful designed with some noice improvements over the Hush-1 which I also play.
