Excellent product, brilliant customer service and wonderful delivery and packaging processes

I was looking for a light/small travel classical guitar to take to work with me (I work FIFO) so I can build & maintain a regular practice routine given I am spending a reasonable figure on lessons at the moment.
What I liked about the Donner Hush-C (aside from the good reviews) was the additional frame that replicates a traditional classical guitar as closely as can be expected given the size & application.
Check out process was straightforward and delivery was the usual from NSW to WA, nearly a week and a half. Item arrived well packaged in recyclable paper & cardboard.
The quality of the travel guitar itself is outstanding, no items missing and everything fits together beautifully.
Whilst I have not had opportunity to use it aside from a quick play when I pulled it out of the box I am already satisfied that it will meet my needs for a practice guitar and hopefully assist in my becoming a more proficient classical guitarist.
Thanks Donner

I bought my Donner Hush I Pro in good faith … after three weeks the headphone socket became loose and a few days later doesn’t hold the headphone jack at all. I emailed for service in to the service email several times and never heard back. The customer service for Donner is widely reported as non existent … I just wish I had read about it before spending over $500 on a guitar that now has limited use for me … BUYER BEWARE

The guitar does everything as described and sounds nice through an amplifier or headphone.

I did not like it at all

Love the Hush C! I travel a lot for work and it’s been the perfect guitar to bring along and get some extra practice in.

I don't hate it, but I don't love it. First, the positives: I think the finish of the instrument is terrific, the price is pretty fair (esp on sale), and the design and transportability is perfect for what I was after. There isn't much variety in the onboard controls, but you can make up with that through a speaker amp, and hey, it's cheap. But my biggest disappointment is with the fretboard. It is noticeably narrower than a traditional classical guitar, which makes it annoying to play; I'm even noticing that my fingers (especially on Top E string) actually 'roll' the string off the edge of the fretboard. It wouldn't have altered the length / transportability of the instrument to make it the width of a standard classical instrument. So it's close, but for me not a serious challenger to the Yamaha Silent Classical Guitar (which is admittedly more expensive, and not quite as compact for travel).

Very nice package and functionality. Sounds very nice and useful for recording, action very high on arrival and had to adjust a few times using truss rod. Otherwise great travel guitar

Construction is of high quality and can function as a practice guitar. However, I find the sound quality to be lacking [updated: through the supplied ear pieces, through an amp it sounds just fine.] The pickup is too sensitive to unrelated events, leading to a lot of extraneous noise that is irritating. I am going to work with it to see if I can come to accept its audio quality [managed to get a decent tone out of it].
**Updated to 4 stars. Sound is ok, have found it acceptable for practice.

we're going to start traveling winters in a 4dr Jeep and now I can take this with electric and acoustic sounds and the classical Hush too! super cool!! They sound great and play even better.

A new and vibrant experience for a “senior citizen”.
This guitar makes me feel “young” again.
Thank you,
Brett
Quickly purchased two different colors to go with my brother. Likes it!

As someone new to classical guitar, I couldn’t have asked for a better starting point. The neck is slim and super easy to navigate, even for small hands. The rounded frets feel smooth and comfortable. It stays in tune pretty well after the first few days of string stretching. I also love that I can practice with headphones late at night without disturbing anyone!

Very nicely built. Good looking travel guitar. Surprisingly playable for a travel guitar. Was initially worried about the narrower neck since got this for classical guitar practice but not a problem for me. Interesting neck design where narrower on lower frets and wider as go up. Wanted a travel guitar that was a more comfortable to play on than traveller guitar have which this achieves that. Has leg and arm rests and fast connects. Tuning pegs can turn by hand but may be easier with tool.

This arrived extremely well packaged in a thick foam bag, inside of a well padded gig bag inside of two boxes. Typical of Donner packaging. The form factor is perfect for a traveling guitar. The case candy that comes with it is very good. The strap is excellent as is the patch cord. There is a brief manual and a tool for the spoke wheel truss rod. And the nine volt battery for the preamp and tuner is included. The guitar itself is beautiful. It weighs 4.5 pounds. The nut width is a hair over 46 mm. The scale length is the Fender scale, 25.5 inches. The neck and fret work are outstanding. No rocking frets. No dead frets. No fret sprout. The fretboard is very flat and very wide, which is what you should expect with a classical guitar. The fretboard is HPL, so don't bother using moistening agents. They aren't necessary. The guitar overall is very typical of a classical guitar. So, if you're looking for an acoustic, an electric or an acoustic electric of the typical variety this is not it. You will need a lot of reach and some finger strength to play this, just like any classical guitar. The strings are nylon, but the reach makes it different. This one arrived with insanely high action, but that was apparently due to a whole bunch of relief. It took quite a few turns of the spoke wheel truss rod to straighten the neck and when I got it completely straight, the action was 3.25 mm on both the high and low E. This is inline with typical classical guitars. The truss rod works very smoothly. The pickup sounds very good amplified or with the ear buds that are supplied. The tuner is excellent, which is not typical for amplified classical or acoustic electric guitars. And don't bother trying to turn the tuning pegs with your fingers. There is a hidden magnetic hex wrench near the tuners that works very well and saves your aching fingers. There is one obvious strap button, and I think the output jack doubles as the second button. It works, but it seems like over time that could put a lot of stress on the output jack. And I should have said first that the "body" of the guitar snaps on very easily, but be sure it's in firmly before trying to play. It can be sat in place but not fastened, so be aware. So, overall, if you are looking for a travel classical guitar, this one is very good.

I am really enjoying playing this guitar. I already have a Hush-X Pro and a Hush-I. The quality of the nylon strings and the acoustics amplified are lovely. Using with a Spark 2 with clean acoustic sound. The instrument was playable out of the box, but I did lower the saddle maybe less than 1mm and adjusted the truss rod for a little lower string action, once the nylon strings had stretched and settled in. Very pleased with this guitar and look forward to many hours of exploration and practice.

One of my favorite things about the HUSH-C is how the nylon strings pair with the headphone output. The sound is full and clear, yet I can play any time of day without bothering my neighbors. It’s perfect for classical-style practice, and the soft string feel helps avoid finger fatigue.
