This is my 2nd Donner guitar and my 1st headless guitar and i love it. Was pretty well set up only needed a few tweaks and some new strings. Plays great, looks great and is super light. Thanks Donner!

Great guitar generally but the string lock bar on the neck was bent in the middle. When it arrived, so had to carefully straighten it. Needs to be a bit more solid. Should be available as a spare part.
The 5 way switch is a bit close and easy to hit accidentally when playing. Should be moved away somewhat. Like towards the corner.
Apart from that, I'm happy with my HLX-500.

I never though I’d buy a guitar on line, but the dimensions meant it fitted my needs for busking so I thought I’d take a chance.
I’m so glad I did.
My new Donner is so good.
It was perfectly playable straight out of the box. I had my luthier set it up for 11-49’s and he had so little work to do!
Cosmetically the pearl white is beautiful and the overall design is attracting positive attention which really helps as a busker.

The device should be tested before shipping. The port of the NHL-500 is rubbery, moves around alot and is not solid metal like the Hust I series.

Its a real tasteful guitar and still exploring its capabilities,...

A lovely little guitar that sounds great and is very portable.

It is, at it's fundamental level a moderate foundation for a better guitar. i.e. The wood is attractive the fittings functional, but it requires significant work not usually available to the beginner to make it a better guitar. The frets need leveling and dressing, the fret wood is very dry and needs oiling the truss rod seems to work, but feels odd, the bridge thrust bearings need oil, the pickups will do, but only just (so consider possible extra expense here), there is a wolf note (not related to frets. It is a very light guitar and therefore very susceptible to resonance points). However, despite these issues and factors, it is a light, pleasant to play guitar and a good way to try out the headless realm. Wait for a special discount and try one.

This is a song I have recorded with the NHL-500 guitar, DDP-400 Piano and DED-200 drum kit. Recorded like a treat to midi files that I could edit. Guitar has a great action, great sound.

When I got my guitar it wasn't making a stable sound and the volume knob was wobbly so I open the back plate untight the volume pot and moved the wires away from the side of the cavity and tighten it up. After that it worked fine and I have to say that for that price it's an amazing instrument. Be ready to recive a guitar that need a little attention to start tho.

Tuning gets loose, got some buzz, no probs I can tune and the buzz doesn't really matter. It's almost written itself an album and on the last track it almost sounds acoustic. I did my previous album with a Strat which was different for me but I liked it and this had very similar qualities. All my others are buckers hence the revelation. I agree with other entitled bastards though, let's have a SHH!

Great quality instrument.
Well set up out of the box, just needed intonation.
Lovely neck and fretwork.

A beautiful looking instrument that plays very well, if not brilliantly. Perfect for taking with me on trips and more than capable of holding its own.

This guitar has a very solid build, with good fitout and components. The pickups are excellent, but we always want more! You WON'T need to upgrade these ones.
I've already restrung it with elixirs, and this is where the only issue arises.
The included allen keys are cheap and stripped themselves on the first turn, probably shaving metal as it did. Seriously, just bin them and buy good ones. The included strap is excellent, and I'm picky.
I bought the white model but on arrival I discovered it was white pearloid and prettier than I originally thought. I have some Dimarzio's in the closet just begging for it, but it's unlikely I think. I'll wait a while.
The NHL500 would be a justifiable expense at twice the price. Big call.. I'm just very happy with it.

Good quality materials, styling is nice, playability and sound of the pick-ups are great.

While this is a cheaper guitar, the quality is top tier. I only changed.the pick up because I wanted emgs. The bridge is pretty innovative.

I'm extremely pleased with my Donner NHL-500 headless guitar. Like my other Donner guitar, this instrument arrived with exceptional build quality and was essentially setup and ready to play straight out of the box. After just a minor tuning adjustment, it's been flawless ever since.
The NHL-500 is lightweight and comfortable to play, with a great feel that makes extended sessions enjoyable. The aesthetics are appealing too - it's a good-looking instrument that stands out in my collection. My only minor critique would be that the pickups could be slightly hotter, but this is a small consideration in an otherwise outstanding guitar.
For the price point, this is an excellent addition to any guitar lineup and represents fantastic value for money. If you're looking for quality instruments built with quality materials, you really can't go wrong with Donner. I now own two of their guitars and an electric drum kit, and I'm definitely planning to invest in more of their products in the future.
Highly recommended!
Regard.
