I bought this because of the Herman Li video, tuner works great as far as I can tell, I have been having fun learning but I don't really know anything about guitars. I can plug my phone or computer into the amp if I want a metronome or want to watch a youtube tutorial and try to play along.
So far, perfect starter guitar, the only extra thing I have bought is a thicker pick.

I am reviewing this product as of 8/29/2022.
- The packaging is solid, and it has all the items included so nothing was left out (almost got heart attack looking for allen wrench since it is very small).
- The amp they sent me is the updated version (Donner DA10). The quality is good and there is nothing concerning about it. Make sure to read the manual.
- The guitar is playable, the strings are very soft (i'm guessing 0.09)which is fantastic for beginners. As for the setup it can be played straight out of the box (make sure to tune it first using the headstock tuner which is also provided). The string height doesn't seem to be a concern as it looks somewhat low. It can be adjusted higher or lower using the allen wrench.
- The guitar string somehow starts to change colour (probably just my hand) on the first day but thankfully it comes with another set of strings if you wish to change it when it gets very rusty.
You get a bunch of stuff that's bundled with the guitar, and its all for $200 which is a killer deal. This is a great entry level product for those that wants to get started with electric guitar.

I ordered a black and the order sat there unfilled. I had to contact Donner about a week later to ask why? Oh, there's been a website issue with the stock numbers, no black, mmm! Why didn't you contact me and let me know? So eventually a blue is sent and it arrives with a dead middle pickup, nothing at all from it. Also the machine heads have heaps of play when you back them off and have to retune. Neck feels OK and it was reasonably well setup, but the bridge needs attention, as 6th string is all the way back with spring removed to get intonation close. Yes, it's a cheapie, but with just a few checks and mods, you could have a far better rating and customer experience, where I would recommend. They offered a part refund and I sort out the pickup deal.

This is my first guitar EVER so I can’t really give an input from experience BUT my package came in 2 days earlier and handled nicely. Also I found it sweet how much they offer for the price, the color is beautiful ( sapphire blue ) I couldn’t stop starring at her , the weight seems reasonable (not too light or too heavy ) they even gave me some help by showing me the basic guitar notes . The amp is rechargeable so you can take it with you , the toner is clutch cause I know nothing about tuning and they even gave you the battery for it. Also extra strings. It’s perfect to start of so you can determine if guitar is really for you instead of spending a lot of money on a expensive one. I say go for it :)

It’s 100% worth the money. (It’s similar to a fender stratocaster)
For the cons, it has some minor issues on the body such as problems in the whammy bar as it doesn’t work as expected.
Other than that, most of your expectations about this guitar may be true.

Great for beginners and even intermediate players. Sounds just as good as any other electric guitar. However, if you’re looking to play heavy metal this guitar isn’t for you. I can feel it’s a very sturdy and quality build guitar, and is a bit heavy even. Overall really happy with everything, the mini amp packs a punch!! I’m going to be buying a Jackson soon as I’m interested more in heavy metal. But you will find this guitar lasting you a very long time if you take care of it of course.

For the price point of this guitar I wasn't going into this purchase expecting a whole lot. I was extremely surprised at the quality of the packing alone. It was boxed very well and the guitar was well wrapped to prevent damage. The first thing I looked at was the neck. They don't state in the specs the radius but I am guessing it is at least a 12" radius. The strings were super high as most guitars come from the factory. I was able to get the action pretty low on both sides. A little less than a nickles width. That is generally how low I run all my guitar action. The neck quality is outstanding and the nut isn't bad. The only negative for me on the neck is the fret size. I like Jumbo or Medium Jumbo but these are all level and there is no buzzing. The frets are dressed nicely and there are no burs when sliding your hand down the neck. It came with 9's on it and a spare pack of strings. The guitar is comfortable to play and you should have no issues playing lead with the radius on this neck. This kit didn't leave anything out. The included turner was very easy to use and worked well. The mini amp is pretty cool. Charge it on your PC and rip away! The guitar cable that it came with is not the normal junk cable that comes with beginner level guitars. It is a good quality cable. I was even impressed with the included capo. It went on even and with good pressure and the guitar stayed in tune once it was on. Some capos you have to play around with the position on the neck.The good surface contact could be due to the radius of the neck. The guitar strap is more than adequate for the guitar and decent quality. All in all this is a great purchase for a beginner, it comes with everything a kid needs on Christmas day to rock out!!

Whilst website advertised item incorrectly as in stock the customer service team did a great job in handling my issue. A quick change of colour preference and the item was delivered within 5 days. Only feedback would be the company should have contacted me upon receipt of order to explain item not in stock rather then waiting for me to chase them up. Would happily order again through Doner music knowing they have good level of customer service.

Good for beginners, the front started to peel but thought my son could put stickers to cover it up. Guitar string busted, but that happens all the time. If my son gets more into guitar I’ll invest more money. So far it’s a great little guitar and easy and light enough for him to hold. He’s 8 yrs old 4’8. So his arms didn’t get tired of holding it for a 30 min lesson. Also love that it came with a strap, and mini amp. Amp works well too, we youtube free guitar lessons and some sites show you how to use the amp for the electric sound, which also works. Great starter bundle!

We bought this as a gift for our 17 year old beginner. He had no problem setting it up with nothing but what came in the package. He ran through the two thinner strings pretty quickly as a beginner constantly trying to tune the guitar (because that's why you don't sound good yet /sarcasm :-).
An extra perk was that the amp is USB rechargeable and operates without being plugged into power. Great for practicing anywhere inside or outside the house.
This was a good deal for the price but pick up some extra strings if you're giving this as a gift.

So I wanted to take a while to really play it before writing a review, but I'm impressed. As someone who is very new at guitar, this was pretty easy to figure out. I also have a Donner acoustic guitar and I really enjoy that one as well. The quality is really good and the smaller neck makes it easier to play. The only problems I had were with the cable and amp. The cable didn't stay in all the time but that was an easy fix because you could tell when the cable wasn't in all the way after it had been. With the amp, it would make a ringing sound when near my phone and if I put the volume too high. Overall, it's a great purchase and one I would recommend to others!

This is a great starter package for beginners. Has everything you need to get started. The little amp sounds pretty good and you can plug headphones in. The guitar itself is a quality build with a great finish. It tuned up quickly out of the box with no adjustments necessary (beginners shouldnt really be doing adjustments other than tuning IMO). Holds a tune even after 3-4 days of 45min practicing so far.

Affordable kit, everything you need to start (Even for experienced guitarists) and for this price, honestly, i'd buy it again. The unit arrived as promised. Well packed.I was surprised at how light it is compared to my Les Paul copy. But it is very nicely finished. No fret sprouts no residual glue in the corners or seams. Right out of the box after tuning and letting it sit for a couple days to let the strings settle in. It plays very easily and stays in tune. The extras: the strap, the tuner,the Capo and the instrument cable are actually quite good. Even the little practice amp sounds fairly decent. Great value for the money. The tuners are a little cheesy about what you could expect at this price point. But overall very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this guitar as a beginner guitar. It has everything I need. After initial string stretching, it is holding it's tuning. The guitar feels very good to me, and my partner who is a professional musician, was impressed with the quality of the guitar. I would recommend this guitar to any new beginner, and I believe it would adequately serve even someone of intermediate and advanced skill sets. The guitar comes pre-strung with an extra set of strings. The only thing to be aware of is that you will want to upgrade to a better amp eventually. The one provided is certainly adequate for a beginner, and surprisingly loud. It is pretty limited on the distortion/tone options.

I'm re-learning guitar during COVID and needed a cheap solution that wasn't a piece of trash. This guitar puts out quality sound, the practice amp is loud enough to practice on without disturbing the neighbors (it definitely wouldn't work for a show or anything like that), and the bundle -- strap, case, tremolo bar, picks, tuner... what am I forgetting? There was so much in it! -- rounds out the package so that you have everything you need to unpack it and play. I'm very impressed with this bundle. It's exactly what I needed to hone my rusty skills. Would recommend!
