Really good for a beginner

This Donner digital piano definitely looks and feels the part. It is solidly built and *very* heavy. It comes in a single box with the flat-packed stand included. The keyboard itself is heavy enough, but combined with the stand it is almost a two person job to lift.
Build quality is very good. The case is primarily wood. The speakers are down-facing underneath the main body, an odd choice being as there is so much seemingly spare space along the top and back of the body, until it is placed on the stand and it becomes obvious that the stand is designed to act as an open front cabinet for the speakers, with the sound bouncing off the backboard. This is fine unless you decide to place the keyboard on a table or desk instead at which point those speakers are then blocked, thus muffling the sound to some extent. An odd design choice, where every other keyboard I have played has the speakers on the top or back of the case where they can’t be easily blocked.
Keys:
The 88 weighted hammer action keys feel extremely nice, albeit a little ‘woolly’. They are a vast improvement over the plastic velocity-sensitive keys of my Casio CS-1, but can’t match the Yamaha P-120’s keys for realism and graduated weight where the upper register keys have a lighter feel than the lower ones. Response is good, but return could be a little faster.

I absolutely love this digital piano, I am a beginner with playing the piano and I have been using this with the app it comes with and the tutorials are great! The piano comes with a flat pack stand and it's really easy to put together it comes with the screws and instructions. The top has a groove in it where I have been placing my phone to follow the videos but it does come with a plate of wood to stand books, music sheets on.
The main keys are 88 weighted hammer action keys and they are really comfortable to play, you can also record and playback music as it's got speaks, it's also got a headphone jack if you prefer to use your headphones. The power supply is a standard cable but I could have done with it being a little longer. It comes with a unit that has 3 pedals on and that's easy to screw onto the bottom and plug into the keyboard. The other buttons on the top are on/off volume up/down, demos, voice/style to switch the state of tone and rhythm, the +/- buttons change the selected tone of the keyboard. It's got a function button too which can adjust a load more setting like beat reverb, dual tone, left keyboard area etc it's really got a lot of different settings so you can get it absolutely perfect for what you need. I'm still learning how to use all of them but it's not overwhelming it's exciting to try them out, it's got other things like a metronome, recording, midi, memory. It's all extremely well made, sturdy and very high quality with very clear instructions it's definitely worth the price for such a good machine. I am loving using it and learning to play.

With my mother-in-law's retirement, I've revisited the topic of pianos. After some research, I came across the Donner brand. We bought a DDP 60 because its slim legs look better in the living room. We also got the DDP 50 for ourselves. The full keyboard is fantastic. The touch response is well-chosen, and the various settings offer a wide range of possibilities. Compared to the DDP 60, I especially appreciate the attached pedal.
The dimensions are also excellent. Compared to a traditional piano, these digital pianos make a noticeable difference in the room's appearance.
Donner products aren't cheap, but I'm impressed by their craftsmanship and versatility. With the current deals, they're even more attractive. We give them a full five stars for their build quality, musical performance, and intuitive operation.

This digital piano is fantastic for beginners! The keys feel realistic with weighted action, and it comes with everything you need to get started, including a sturdy furniture stand and 3 pedals. The sound quality is rich and clear, and it’s easy to use right out of the box. Perfect for practicing at home, learning proper technique, or even small performances. It’s solidly built and looks great in any room. A great choice for anyone starting piano or looking for a compact, full-size option.

This is a good value weighted 88 key pianos for all level players. I like the high 256 polyphony count and strong speakers. The two main piano sounds are quite good. The weight is very realistic, with excellent dynamics and feedback. A little stiff, but to be expected in a new instrument. This piano comes with a huge library of sounds, 385 instrument voices. For piano players, the first two voices are for acoustic grand and bright acoustic piano. There are an additional 10 combined piano voices from 145-154. There are also rhythm, metronome, chord, and split keyboard functions. The keyboard is capable of dual tones but with the limited instructions in the manual I haven't figured out how to use that. The only issue with this keyboard is the limited LCD display and control panel, which offers very little information or ease of use. To get to piano voice 145 for example, I have to click through hundreds of voices. I can hold down the +/- key to speed thru, but it still takes a lot of time. The main voices are useable and fun to play with, but the hundreds of 'combined' voices available are not particularly useful or nice sounding. I would rather have a few more quality main voices. The sound and weighted keys are excellent, with really good dynamic range and feedback. When playing, I can feel the strings vibrating on the keys, which is outstanding for simulated harmonics.

If Beethoven, Alicia Keys, and a DJ walked into a room together and decided to build a piano baby… the Donner DDP-50 would be that child. And let me tell you, this child is TALENTED.
First off, the keys.
These aren’t your basic flimsy “tap-tap” keys. No ma’am. These are full-weighted, 88-key, hammer action beauties that genuinely made me question if I suddenly became a prodigy. I hit one note and felt like I deserved a Grammy. The adjustable velocity response? Chef’s kiss. You can go from soft and emotional to “I’m dramatic and everyone needs to hear about it” with one swipe.
Now let’s talk about the sound library.
375 timbres. Three hundred. Seventy-five.
This thing has more personalities than me before coffee. You want classical? Done. Organs? Obviously. Guitars? Why not. It even has 10 drum tones, because sometimes you just need to pretend you’re in a garage band at 2 a.m. Plus, 256 polyphony, 100 rhythms, and 120 demo songs—it’s like having every music genre living rent-free in your house.
Features? Oh, it came FEATURED UP.
Recording? Yep.
Dual tones? Absolutely.
One-key chords? My lazy finger says THANK YOU.
And the dual keyboard mode is perfect for when you feel like teaching someone… or battling them in a dramatic piano duel.
Connectivity is top tier too.
USB, aux out, pedal connector, headphones—everything except a button that brings you snacks (Donner, please consider). I love that I can plug in headphones and practice silently so my neighbors don’t have to hear me playing the same song 48 times while I “get it right.”
But the teaching tools? GAME CHANGER.
Between the Donner Music App and Melodics software, I feel like I’m getting private lessons without the pressure of someone watching me mess up. Perfect for beginners, perfect for advanced players—perfect if you’re like me and bounce between both depending on the day.

Overall: 10/10 would dramatically play sad songs on this again.
If you want a digital piano that feels real, sounds amazing, and comes packed with enough features to keep you entertained for years… this is the one.
Go ahead and add it to your cart—your inner musician will thank you.
