I love this pedal. In fact, I have it engaged most of the time to give a little treble boost for my antique Class 'A' Diason amp with a small amount of compression. I solved the issue with clamping it down with cable clips as in the pic (Velcro won't stick to the basses of these pedals). That way they don't move around too much when I hit the foot switch. The treble boost function is really handy for getting a balance to the sound and avoiding too much bottom end when driving the amp hard, and getting a good clean sound with sustain as well. It's the 1st compressor I've owned that is truly useful. As with all the Donner pedals the true bypass switches maintain overall tonal integrity when not being used.

It would've been helpful had I known it needs a power supply; other than that it is a great unit that transforms the sound of my Telecaster.

Surprisingly loud, great for a clean boost and can even add extra drive at high volumes. No attack control, so you can’t shake that “I’m definitely using a compressor” sound, but otherwise it’s a good unit.

It's great. Its affordable and the sound and versatility is excellent.
The only hassle I have is I cannot get Velcro strip to adhere to the base of the pedal(s). In the picture you'll see the custom made board with pockets that house the pedals. Maybe Donner have a solution for this but I'm using the pedals in conjunction with my existing custom made setup.

Since I got it, I don't think I've stopped using it. It's such a well built pedal I don't understand how it's so cheap. Buy it.

Good product, good price. Easy to use and perform as intended.

Awesome. I am loving this pedal.... Probably one of the best compressors on the market at the moment. Cant fault it in any way. Solid, good switches and knobs. Sounds great and simple to use. If looking at compressor pedals, save some cash and stress and just get this little gem. You wont be disappointed.

Its a good pedal, sounds great, great price, received in 2DAYS.

This thing blew my mind. There's a lot of big in this little box. For the money, I can tell you there's nothing better. For any amount it completes. It's versatile and quiet. My expectations were exceeded. It literally sounds as good as my higher-end dbx that I have in the studio. I'll definitely be checking out more of their gear.

These little guys not only did EXACTLY what I wanted but at a significantly lower price than their competition.

First suppression pedal, dig what it does

Is does what it says it does . Add something to your tone and sustain

To have that Paisley/Urban chicken-picking to Sultans of Swing tone and then RHCP Fruscainte chime waiting with the press of a foot switch convinced me this is a great pedal. That's with HB pickups. The mini size and bang for the buck value are frosting on the cake. It plays well with distortion; T-Screamer & Fuzz Face. Can't wait to crank the volume from some P90s to hear how saucy that spank can be.

I love this pedal! I have several Donner products and all are fantastic! Best prices too! You can spend hundreds of dollars for pedals but why? I actually own expensive pedals but i am finding more Donner pedals on my board. Plan to purchase more. Give them a try you will be surprised !

This is a killer little compressor! And for the price you can’t beat it! The packaging it came in was a real bonus as well! Quality through and through! I love this pedal!

Recently got this to try and decided it was well worth the gamble. This compressor pedal like many of Donners products has over delivered. Im slowly finding more and more hidden gems that this company makes and this time its this little compressor pedal. Now other pedals exist that do something similar but not necessarily tailored to guitar. This one addresses what a guitarist requires for compression and does away with unnecessary controls making it easy to get to your tone. You will need a 9 volt power supply

I have this paired up with my Danelectro 12-string 59/12.
This is it. If you want jangly, surf, the classic Dan or jangly sound of the sixties....this is it. Right here. Look no further. If you have a Danelectro or jangly guitar..buy this..you need it...the guitar is incomplete without it, and it's okay...that's how it was done from the start. Blackbirds singing in the dead of niiiiight......needs this

Bought this pedal to add to the beginning of a mini pedal board. Works good for the price.

This is an excellent pedal. I am a bass player who rehearses and performs regularly. This is the perfect pedal for me. We play really loud, articulate, modern rock and this is now on my board and I never turn it off. I get a very smooth tone with a nice attack. I have to cut through a Mesa and an Orange--this helps a lot. Like it's the perfect final touch to my current rig. It is silent, small and very sturdy. I'm looking forward to my next Donner pedal-I want to replace my noise gate and add an Overdrive.

This is the third Donner product I've tried. The other pedal I've tried is the Noise Killer, which I found to be the clear cut best noise gate I've used in that particular price range. The same applies with this compressor, only I own a few compressors that retail for more than this and it is in my opinion the best is the best I own now.

I used to own a Boss CS-3. This pedal is almost as good for less than 1/2 the price and footprint.
It's built very well for the price. I got silly and replaced the black knob with a clear acrylic one to make it look cooler.
I have the Donner morpher as well. This stuff is seriously good for the price. Mooer is the only other contender in this price and size range. I run this into a Mooer Tender Octaver and wow. Wowwwy wow wow

It works exactly like it's supposed to. That seems like a neutral statement, but in this day and age when everybody has a product that says what it supposed to do I find myself usually disappointed when the product falls short of its description.
That being said, the Donner compression pedal is compact, sturdy, and easy to use. It helps even out the attack when I'm fingerpicking to allow me to get the control I like but also in even volume across all strings. With the level control it also allows me to get a nice amount of clean boost that add little or no color to the sound.
Happy to have it as an addition to my paddleboard!

This is an update on my original review. I was gladly surprised that Donner's customer service really cares about their products and customers. They contacted me regarding the previous pedal I returned, which turned out to be a bad unit or at least not as good as the new one. I went ahead an tried a different unit, which they sent at no cost. The new pedal performs amazingly, specially considering the price point. I own the delay pedal too and these two in combination or independently make an awesome job. My guitar sound is much richer now and super nice. I totally recommend you guys getting this and if you have another 30 bucks, go for the delay too. These two are great!

does exactly what it says good lil guy

I couldn't be happier with this Donner compression mini-pedal! The quality is outstanding for the price. I love the dimension it adds to my sound, and really enjoy the improved sustain that it gives my Telecaster. It is really easy to dial in the sound I want. As you can see, my home-made pedalboard is very compact (just 12" across), so the small size of this (and my Donner tuning pedal) is also a big plus!

Clean and quiet, very transparent. Treble boost switch actually *does a thing*, delivers enough sizzle to punch nicely through an (aggressive) passive low pass filter I use ( magenta box w single knob in photo ). Tone knob gives a useful range. Doesn’t much change your envelope as strongly as a sustainer style compressor does, so if that’s your goal it may not be your best choice, if you occasionally play finger style you’ll smile. Volume control works for me, I see unity gain around 12 o’clock depending on how much the big (compression) knob is turned.
*crosses fingers about longevity * ( but at these prices, you either get a dud or don’t. I suspect the customer is the quality control department, and these folks are quick to replace units. )

Happy with this pedal, solid quality and sound for for the price. I'll write about some of the features that I like:
1) It has a true bypass so that when it's clicked off, it doesn’t color/change the tone of your guitar.
2) I like how it boosts sustains - letting me ring out notes and chords at the end of songs
3) Works as boost pedal in a pinch and can increase
4) Compression works as expected; for me, it adds a richness and professionalism to my sound
5) Just enough options, not 4-6 different options on more expensive pedals. Treble/Normal switch gives enough flexibility to play with the sound
Been using the pedal for about a week now on a nightly basis and no signs of quality issues - seems to be holding up well.

This product was as advertised. It gives you a great sound. It is very compact yet has a big sound. I would recommend Donner pedals to anyone who want to have a versatile sound and dont want to spend allot or waste allot of pedal space.
Im still learning how to use compression on my pedal board but if you find the sweet spot it will gel all of your effects together well. You can also use this as a volume controller/amp to help control your tone. I use it last in the chain just before my volume pedal. Some people put the compressor in front. I might experiment and move it to the front one day.

great little comp. Pretty amazing how small it is. If you've got fat fingers, ham hands, or you like to wear combat/hiking boots on stage while playing death metal and stomping on your pedals without aim, you're not going to like the two small knobs, the skinny stick switch, or the overall size or form factor. But for everyone else, this is a great little no-nonsense comp that does what it needs to do without taking up a lot of space. I love it.
Una
great compression in a tiny affordable package.
Kathleen A.
It does the job pretty well, and it is very versatile.
I use it as both a clean boost to really saturate my gain stages.
I use it as a compressor to add more body and even gain when playing with softer dynamics.
I use it as a sustain pedal for helping hold those squealies.
I use it to help shape my tone before the preamp stage.
The compression and boost have a wide range and do a good job. No complaints. It does what it's supposed to do.

Placed between my tuner and my volume pedal, it sounds awesome and works perfectly!! Used it last night in a live performance in my church, and loved it!!
Nathaniel
Popped this LITTLE guy in at the start of my signal chain and powered it with a pedal power a/c chain adaptor and instantly went to work! So first and foremost, it’s small, so it should fit on just about any pedal board. Second is it’s TRUE-bypass! Third is it’s super versatile! Dial it up for a little extra sustain or bring it down to level off those extra aggressive punches. Exactly what I needed to make my leads sound buttery smooth!
Gamal
Super small, great sound, and a wonderful tone and compression level this is easily one of my favorite new pedals. In the picture you’ll notice there’s some blank spots but I’m pairing this pedal with a RAT, Ibanez tube screamer, a Uni Vibe, a Mojo Mojo, a Tumnus Wampler, SL Drive, Digital Delay, and finally a loop station. The sound compression from this pedal is gorgeous and it helps me get that clean sound I was looking for and couldn’t find with other pedals / pre-amp settings. This thing is super well built, built beautifully, and saves tons of space in highly compact real estate on my pedal board. I am now a customer for life of Donner
Alan
Very good sounding, and simple to use, compressor pedal. Very good alternative to the more expensive ones.
