I would like to say I enjoy the DED-400, except since it's arrival 2 weeks ago, I've managed to enjoy a total of 20 mins on the kit. It arrived within 3 days of ordering, so great. However day 2, the module no longer works. It receives no power. After an initally promising response, assuring me they would forward the case to the sales department, and advising a new power supply and module would have to be sent from the China warehouse, since then there has been no communication, despite several follow up emails to the service department. This has been ongoing for 2 weeks now.
In short, I cannot rate the product as I have been unable to use it, but the customer service since has been 1 star at best. If you purchase this, hope yours is more reliable than mine.
If they decide to replace the module and I get to experience the product, I may update this review. In the meantime, due to the service, I cannot possibly recommend.

A really good kit for beginners, easy to put together, easy to use, the kick sliding across the grpund is a litte annoying but what can you do. My real problem with this kit is longevity, I bought it about 3 months ago now, and a few weeks ago, the snare stopped being as sensitive as before, even on sensitivity and threshold levels of 1. This even got worse and worse until, now the snare making a noise or not when you hit it is a coin flip. It's gotten so bad that I had to remove the snare from the set and replace it with one of the smaller tom pads. Additionally, one of my cymbals often plays the rim sound despite me hitting the bell part, and sometimes it'll choke itself after every hit for a few minutes. My kick is also really squeaky now, not sure why. And the stool is awful, sorry, I leaned to the side to reach for something and the metal rod bent and snapped in half. But besides longevity, this kit is plays and feels really good and has helped me devlop my skills tremendously.

We ordered the drum kit on a Tuesday and it was already here on the Friday. It feels sturdy and is even more quiet than we thought it would be. The mesh heads feel bouncy like real drums, which is really nice. The sound module is great for the price with good drum samples, and that you can just plug it into a computer and run whatever samples you want makes it everything you need as someone who's playing around with instruments for fun. We're really happy with the drum kit.

Great Drum kit. Daughter loves it. It is the complete set and we dont have to buy headphones or sticks as accessories. Great product at a great price

I did a lot of research before making a purchase, there is limited videos out there so it was hard to make a decision to purchase or not…
BUT I am very glad I went through with it, the overall quality of the Donner DED-400 is a lot better than I expected.
The headphones aren’t the best quality (but a good start), I purchased the drum amplifier at the same time and that really shows off the quality of the drums, much better sound than the standard headphones (I would recommend buying a better set of headphones or the drum amp)
The metal tube frame makes it easy to setup everything right were you want them and makes sure they stay in place.
Heaps of different drums to choose from, plus many user programmable drums and settings.
The brain/ module is easy to use and is good quality.
Our whole family uses the drums and its setup in a middles height position so a 4 year old, 5 year old, 9 year old and adults can all use the drums without adjusting anything. Perfect starter drum kit for just about any age!
The seat is a good high for kids if you lower it all the way down (without the adjuster bolt in) but you may need another seat for adults.
Delivery to Perth, W.A was fast and the drums arrived undamaged in good packaging.
Overall, very happy with the purchase!!!
Would definitely recommend to others!

This drum set is fantastic. My doughtwr loves it. She did reaearch before asking for this set and she was correct, it is great. The ability to hook up an amo so we can listen to her play is very cool, but so is the earphones for when we don't want to hear her play...lol. It was very easy to put together and everything cam in great condition and securley packaged. Sounds great adn comes with everything you need to start playing right away. I will say that I am not fond of the stool it comes with. Doesn't feel secure and I plan to buy a better one, but all in all, fantastic deal.

Great set! Quality sound, easy to assemble, and made of high quality material. Has a much more comfortable bass drum, snare and hi-hat than other electronic drum sets I've seen and tested out. A drummer who is used to a traditional set may have to make slight adjustments with their respective techniques, but that's the same for all electronic sets. I like the drum covers better than some other sets because they aren't smooth as glass like cheaper ones. Instead they have a different consistency for better sound. I easily hooked it into a bass amp and it sounded great. Also sounds great with a good pair of headphones. Would highly recommend, and I am extremely happy with it.

I bought this to get up to speed for the church music group. It had been 32 years since I played a set and decided to buy this to tighten up my chops. It works great. Has line in and line out so you can run music into the headphones and adjust the volume for the set to create the perfect balance especially if you have apps that cut out the drum tracks. I bought a Tama double bass pedal since the one that comes with it isn't the best quality. I haven't messed with the settings too much as I like the pre programmed sounds based on what I'm playing. I like the heads. They feel great. Perfect for getting ready for playing the real set at church in front of a crowd.

I was very well impressed with the quality. It is made of metal not plastic, very well put together. It sounds amazing, I recommend this for anyone just starting out.

My 16 yro son is teaching himself to play, but with all the other instruments, we had no space for a full-size kit. This drum set was the answer. He loves it. Just for reference, the place in the photo is on a 4x6 rug in our basement, so it's a pretty small area. The set sounds fantastic (purchased the Donner amp for it and the sound quality is great), and with the option for headphones, it was the perfect solution for us. Went together easily, came boxed appropriately with all the parts. It is small, and my son is very tall (6ft), but he just sits lower on the stool and it works fine. Very happy with it.

It looks well designed and has all the accessories. After plugging in, the sound source box is ready to use, I love it.

When I assembled it, I saw multiple expansion ports so I could plug in extra drums and create my own music.

Can't live without this now, it was worth the investment 100%

I like the kit, it's well made, nothing was damaged but unfortunately the kick drum
did not work. I have emailed Donner and waiting their reply.
It looks to be a faulty signal connection line. They were very quick in repling and
I have now received the new signal connection line and all works perfectly.
I would certainly recommend this company and the electronic drum kit.

Great starter kit for beginners. Sound quality is good and a bonus for parents is that your child can practice with headphones.

My son jams on it a couple hours per day; his iPhone connect to the module and he plays along his favorite music. The module makes great sounds; the kit sounds like, well, a drum kit. I couldn't be happier with this set.
Shelby
Excellent sound, easy set up, light. I’m having a blast playing these

I can play these without p$##ing off my neighbors. But, I still prefer an acoustic set in every way.
Ivan
sound quality with headphones is weird but i think thats because im a beginner trying to use equipment thats better in the hands of a professional

A perfect kit for an old drummer who hasn't played in years. I'm back!

The drums are amazing, it took me about 30 minutes to assemble, everything is solid and the sound is great. recommend to everyone

I have not played drums for many years. I needed to get back into it and really needed a set that I could play in my Mobile home to get my chops back to where they were. Also requiring not to upset my neighbors so the perfect thing to do was buy this electronic drum set. I picked a Donner DED-400 set because of the great reviews on it and I could not be more satisfied as it gives me the freedom to play away and has worked out fantastic to once again rock on.

I was very excited when the package came. I’ve been doing some research and I’ve heard nothing but great reviews about This drum kit. I took me about an hour to put it together but it all went well. Once everything was fired up and ready to go sounds pretty good, the only problem I had was that the headphone wire had a short in and the Tremor throne was a little wobbly but I quickly replaced it and kept jamming. Great job Donner!!

Ok here is my review after 1 afternoon,
I got the DED-400 this morning in the mail, all the pieces were in the box, labeled and the instructions were fairly clear.
A couple things to note off the bat; although the kick pad has a spot that is definitely for attachment like the other pads, there is no attachment to the rack itself, just to the tower piece it comes with, for some that may be preferable, to me, I would rather have it stationary, since it instead likes to walk and then taps annoyingly against the rack. For myself I am just gonna 3d print a piece to attach it, I realize not everyone has that luxury. The second thing to note is that the throne, kick pedal and headphones, are nice to have so that you can immediately set it up and play, but all three should be on your mind for replacement as soon as possible. The headphones are the first things I would say, I happen to have semi decent ones already, and the sound difference is outlandish. The kick in the provided headphones sounds like it is completely blowing the headphones even at lower volumes on multiple kits. With even low grade studio headphones, the sound from the module is much more enjoyable. The throne, is small, and not super comfortable, but, I am a large guy, and I knew that I would probably need to replace it going in. The kick pedal actually isn't terrible, I am not by any means a good drummer, but I am having a lot of ghost noting on the kick, I tried adjusting settings both analog and digital to fix the problem, then, when that didn't work I had a much better drummer friend try it out and even he was having issues with it, so new kick pedal is on my short list of upgrades.
All that said, here is why I still gave it 4 stars, the kit was fairly easy to put together, the sounds that were included in the kits, are not the worst sounds I have seen, the drums themselves seem sturdy, and they aren't missing notes at least from what i have played so far. The rack is pretty solid, the module has a fair amount of customization available, it will be beneficial to actually read the manual, as its not the most user friendly to figure out how to do adjustments, but once you understand how to navigate the module, it is gives you much more control. The cymbals are choke-able, it does not list them as choke-able, but I can tell you they are. The rim shots on the snare, are not set up very well originally, but once you mess with the settings, they are much better.
I bought this kit because I want to practice drums and get better, the coaching feature is good for getting timing down, the provided songs are super weird, which is nice, because they make you actually think about what makes sense, if you turn off the drum track that is provided. If you follow along with what they programmed in, it is challenging for a beginner, but not impossible.
Things I would like to see addressed in future builds: Bluetooth aux in, by in large, most people use their phones to play music, and they no longer have a 3.5 mm port, Bluetooth just seems like a no brainer at this point. Allowance for user sounds, with 25 user kits, allowance for user sounds doesn't seem like a leap if this is touted as your top of the line model. Sending an optional rack attachment for the ride cymbal or the kick tower, would be helpful as the ride being in the position that is intended in the original setup, is not optimal, and as noted the kick tower, being stationary would be excellent.
It is at least as responsive as the Alesis Nitro Mesh, sized better than even the Alesis Surge, and more responsive than the Simmons 650 model, lastly, it is less costly than the low end Roland, and although the add on pieces are not especially good, they do technically work so you can legitimately be able to play straight out of the box.
I will be doing some more testing of the unit including running it through a VST over the next couple of days, if there is more to add to this review I will return and do so. For a E-kit right around $500 USD, I feel like this was a good value. Price wise, I feel like it is the best kit for the money, especially if you catch it on sale.

I am not a drummer but I play with drummers and understand what a drum is supposed to sound like. This does not sound like an acoustic in the sense that when you hit it, you only hear a tap. Once you hook up to an amp or headphones is when it truly shines. It responds to light and heavy strikes and everything in between. I have no other reference to compare to but it sounds good to me. Some sounds sound raw, some EQed. There is a sound for every music you would like to play. I have been practicing along to music by plugging into the audio input.
I did find that I wanted some of the strike components to sound louder on some sets but then I found out you can adjust the volume individually! This was a great feature. There is a TON of sounds in here. You can adjust timber, kits, use a metronome and put it into demo mode if you want to hear a backing track.
The drums react to force and area where they are hit. I found it cool that you can hit a cymbal and grab it to mute it. Again, not a drummer but I didn't feel like anything was lacking. Except a seat maybe. Everything I imagined it to do, it did well. More than anything I am happy that my daughter can play without annoying the neighbors. I find myself using this a lot because its so quiet with headphones on. I have no experience with electric drums so I cant say at what level these are at in comparison to whats available in this price range I can say that I am happy to have this as a replacement. Sound is clear and crisp with no artifacting, Solidly built with metal and good plastic, metal foot pedals. Even cost the same as my daughters acoustic drum set. I have even recommended to my drummer who cant practice at home since he lives in small apartment.

Nice, not as good as a real acoustic kit, but I bought this to keep the neighbours knocking at my door with guns blazing at me and to keep on practising.
I have yet to get used to it as it is a slightly different way of playing (feel wise) compared to an acoustic kit. I don't really like the hi-hat pedal as you can only do close and wide open with it, no half closed sounds, just close and open sounds. Drum sounds are plentiful, and also fun to work with. Neat feel, but not as sensitive as real skins. Cymbals are ok, again, not as good as the real thing.
Overall, Perfect for the drummer with close neighbours, and those who want a different feel or sound selection. Personally I'd prefer the real kit but for the money and my needs, I say pretty good.
Oh, yes they do come with a throne and just some cheapie headphones. I say invest in a better set of headphones and definitely a Powered PA speaker for that more dynamic sound when you can turn them up, cause they sound better louder. Enjoy !

I’ve only had it a week, but so far, everything is great.
Assembly took about 5-10 min, no problems.
Sound quality is very good.
It appears to be a well built kit. I haven’t had it very long, so this could change, but some of the reviews indicated that the product was not high quality, so I feel compelled to mention that I disagree with this.
Now….. if I can just keep the kids off of it long enough for me to practice.
